"Bakinskiy Rabochiy" Machine Building Plant

"Bakinskiy Rabochiy" machine-building plant is a large-scale specialized enterprise producing oil field equipment, and also consumer goods. The Bakinskiy Rabochiy machine-building plant belongs to the State Concern "Azneftkhimmash".

It was founded in 1900 in territory of the section 101 of the Sabunchi settlement, Balakhano-Sabunchi district of Baku, on the basis of small work shop that belonged to the former oil firm "Benkendorff. Usually, shops were used for simple repair works oil equipment and met requirements of the rapidly developing oil industry of Baku. The workshops created in 1900 were used exclusively for the repair of oil field equipment and didn't influence Azerbaijan economy in any way before new equipment came from abroad. As soon as the Xl-th Red Army occupied Baku and the Soviet Government was established the mechanical shops of the "Benkendorff" firm were nationalized as private, and then were included into the "Azneftecom". In May1928, the mechanicals hops got a new name - mechanicals hops "Bakinskiy Rabochiy", and in November 1929, they were reorganized to a plant and called the Machine-Building plant "Bakinskiy Rabochiy". During the last 100 years, the "Bakinskiy Rabochiy" plant has traveled along development road these from small work shops with limited resources to large-scale enterprises making a strong contribution to the economy of the Azerbaijan Republic.

The plant's activity historically can be divided into 5 halting places:
The 1st halting place -1900-1920 covers the period beginning with the creation of the "Benkendorff" firm shops until the establishment of the Soviet Government in Azerbaijan. Its characteristic feature is that shops' activity met financial interests of the firm and in the end was directed to the maximal extraction and oil sell with minimal expenditure.
The 2nd halting place -1920-1941- pre-war period is, the period characterized by the establishment of home machine-building and appearance on the front line of world science and engineering.
The 3-rd halting place -1941-1945- the war period is the period of production of armament.
The 4th halting place-1945-1991-thepost-war period is characterized by the steady rising of production power, increase of the ready production out put volume, the gradual improvement of technical-economical indexes, the development of quality and the expansion of the manufactured article' nomenclature.
The 5th halting place-from1991till now, i.e. the period of the independence of the Azerbaijan Republic, the transition to marketing is characterized by multiple-discipline activities. The plant's nomenclature includes:
1. Rocker-machines of normal series SKD with a lift capacity of 30 KH to 120 KH and with a service depth of 3300 m.
2. Heat exchangers with a floating head.
3. Wheel-chairs.
4. Plant used for opening drilling in operating pipelines.
5. Motor-reductors.
6. Mechanized drive for water wells.
7. Reductor Lp-315, Lp-450
8. A mill for (cereals wheat, rye, etc.) willing.
9. Balloon carrier MQBD80-250 on the bas is of the chassis KRAZ 255B1.
10. Valves KBZ-8.5.
11. Pressure regulator RDK-1 for balloons with liquefied gas.
12. Stalk carriers PV-204 on the basis of the chassis KRAZ-254561.
13. Trucks for liquefied hydrocarbon gas transportation.
14. Balloons for liquefied hydrocarbon gas.
15. Clamps for encapsulation of water pipeline.
